Teaching efficacy of undergraduate PE students; what are the key predictors and what can PE educators learn from this?

Introduction Teaching efficacy describes the belief in a teacher's ability to promote learning and this is an invaluable asset for all teachers. This study examined contextual influences that predict teaching of first-year undergraduate PE students wishing enter teacher training programs. Method Using mixed methods design, 168 completed online questionnaire 16 these participants took part semi-structured focus groups. The data collection procedures investigated students' perceptions awareness how their involvement or sports influenced decision PE.
